This is a praying mantis egg case & it is about the size of a walnut. There will be hundreds of tiny baby praying mantises hatching from it soon. I found a bunch in my woods and moved several to my garden for wonderful insect control.

I will do my best. I put them in the gardens where I will pass them several times a day.
