in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

Wow.. those are simply frightening! The one with the landslide and the boulder is horrifying!

Heather, you and your brother have the same nose. Not your dad's though so I presume you look like your Mum?

OMG the video!!! I squealed, cringed, ducked and felt sick for them. It is an amazing compilation

Quote: Yeah, I suppose it is. I'm 5'2" (although since my chiropractor visit this morning I may have gained a quarter inch or so lol).

Yup! Everybody tells me I look exactly like my mom. Mom's nose is a bit different though, so I'd say we have a combo of both. x]

I still can't breathe right. I wonder how many people that survived ,keeled over from a heart attack minutes later. Geez!

I've had a few near misses when I used to walk everywhere. As a pedestrian I can tell you drivers don't want to share" their" road. We have very few sidewalks and have to walk on the shoulder facing traffic (law here) .

When I ride with someone(I don't drive) I sit in the back seat. It's a white knuckle ride when I see what is going on in front and to the side of me.

Heather I bet I'm shorter than you,I'm probably a fat hair shorter than 5 feet small.

Of course I'm probably much wider than you too- I call the fat -' air bags.' Who knows they might save my life somehow or protect my old bones.

I have actually been hit by a car. I got lucky. Woman who I know well hit me at what I would guess was 55 MPH. My bike took most of the hit an threw me over the car. It landed 20 yards past where I did an her car skidded about 50 more yards. My shoes were found in a field on the other side of a 40 foot tall tree line. Kid who watched it said he saw them fly over the trees. Bike was totaled but I walked away with only a mark that looked like a dog bite just above my right ankle. It was actually where the spikes on the bike petal hit me but I dont know how. I was 13 I think...

As an adult working wreck scenes, near hits were an every day thing. I have had to jump on to more than one car over the years. Just part of the job.
