Darth Vader orchid

I knew you'd know.

I am not sure it is and orchid though.
I played it safe and wrote flower.


I Looked it up.
I thought it was in the family with pitcher plants: sarrourous somithin' or otheris's

Aristolochia salvador platensis

But it isn't... but close, Dutchman's pipes.

What I think is funny is that "Darth Vader Orchid" was my knee-jerk reaction, and I'd never seen the thing before in my life. Just out of curiosity, I googled it. A couple of the images were of this flower, but evidently there's a Miltassia orchid hybrid that is named "Darth Vader;" a lot of the images were of it.

I had never seen it ether but the name just fit.. Now that you said it I had to google it too....
