Oh Yes! they have a ring of fluff around their necks!
I will have to dig through the books now.

Oh, yeah. that's the one with the stars on their bellies.
It was about accepting everyone for their own individuality and the problem with trying to be like everyone else.

It came on TV every year when I was in grade school. reb, you are too young for sneetches.

My son doesn't have that book. His favorite was the one about the truffula trees.
He'd get so mad at the guy in the tower.
He'd yell,"Why does he need so much? He already has everything, why does he need more?"

Yep, real life is going to hurt that boy.

If you feed chickens Cotton seeds the yolks will be green also. Gossypol? I have to zip over to google.

YES! some brain cells are still functioning!
This is the article: http://www.merckmanuals.com/vet/tox...ypol_poisoning.html?qt=green egg yolks&alt=sh

and this is the sentence you are searching for third paragraph down under clinical findings.: Green discoloration ofeggyolks and decreased egg hatchability have been reported in poultry

not sure why it is highlighted.

we used to feed the cattle cotton seed meal all of the time. I think it was a waste product that was cheap and perhaps over used. When people started getting green eggs, I am sure DrSeuss had to run with it.
