Here is the basics of how the nice clock my aunts clock worked but hers was bigger with lots of crazy tracks running everywhere.

Having a German ancestry it was a common thing to hear a cuckoo clock growing up at home , my father always wanted a grandfather clock , but settled for a wall version instead that rung every hour and did the whole twelve rungs at twelve , can't say I miss it ? but these are interesting
