Did you notice the water? It was about 80 degrees and we had to keep the pace rather brisk because the mosquitoes were... awful.
I remember a tropical botany class that I took in the everglades. Our professor had pulled off to the side of the road and jumped out with a 'follow me!" but before we unbuckled our seat belts the van windows were black with mosquitoes drooling against them.
..there was a botanical mutiny of sorts.
But no snow. so..you know. it's good.
How are the pens coming along?
well today was a bummer....had well issues again and had driving the whole day so no progress got done...got the fridge to do the incubator in...its going to be great I cant wait..i got it for 20 bucks...so tomorrow I will be doing the cleaning and designing....and hopefully I can get out to the coops and work on them in the morning...I have so much to catch up with on here...just candled the eggs at day 15 and it seems like a good outcome....can see a lot of veining in the white eggs and some chicks even moving around the darker eggs are hard to see but I believe only two are duds...so well see...im going to take the ones that don't hatch apart to see the fertility....I guess im unsure on the numbers right now..i took them out in this lovely winter and hand picked over three days the hottest ones..if they were cold they were not used...so well see...on the 13/14th they will be hatching ....ill keep you updated...
