I'm sorry to hear so many of you are struggling with this weather. I couldn't imagine having broken pipes in winter. My fiance's uncle had some pipes freeze last year and decided to put a heater on it. Well he didn't check that there wasn't a break and flooded his entire house. The freeze was upstairs so it flooded top to bottom. Don't make his mistake :/ besides all that we'll be sending some prayers and good vibes that you'll make it out alright. It will pass and spring will make it...eventually. And if all else fails blame Punxsutawney Phil

That's terrible, I'm so sorry. Last year we had snow that hung out for the first time in my life. It caused all sorts of problems. We had pipes freezing in almost every house (because we almost never get cold enough to even get snow no houses are prepped for it). It was 30 degrees below normal last year and this year it's 15 above! I really really really hate the snow so I'm ok with the heat wave it just makes me nervous with what's happening to make it so erratic.

Turned in to a ice storm last night. Trucks could not even keep going on I59 last night an that road is as flat as it gets.

Cousin drove the 4 wheeler over to check on us this morning. Said his chickens cant even stand up in the yard. His goose is the only thing that is getting around. It is skating on one foot an kicking with the other.


I say to heck with it. I am kicked back in front of a fire an I may stay here all day...

It was supposed to get to be 26, but I do not know if it did that. I would not go outside.
I still have that cold. It might be time to slink off to the doctor.

I have not been to the greenhouses in over a month. I hope my husband has done it right, you never know. But, he has kept me in Kleenex and hot tea, so if he messed up my system, at least there will be a nursery to get back to.


I can not imagine the mess you have.
Your sister caught fire and you flooded.
I suppose in thirty years you all will joke about it, but right now...
