They are warm but I also cant move them.I bet they keep your feet warm Rebel.
Sounds like our cats - I call them barnacles because if you stop moving, they settle on you.
I need to take a picture one day. If I sit still in a chair, one of the dogs will back up to me an sit on the top of my foot. Never fails...Sounds like our cats - I call them barnacles because if you stop moving, they settle on you.
I was just thinking before how only the wealthy are immortalized in stone... and here I find that is not so.Here's another mind blower. Caterina Campodonico sold peanuts and cakes on the streets of Genoa, and saved up her coins to be able to commission this sculpture, created by Lorenzo Orengo in 1881. He completed the work while she was still alive to see it. This sculpture is a demonstration of the democratization of Italian society in the late 1800's. While it remained a very structured and hierarchical society, for one of the first times in history even the poorest could stand up with dignity and look the rich and powerful in the eye, taking pride in what they made of themselves irregardless of the circumstances of their birth.
I'm posting occasional pix here, but I'm posting new ones every day on FB. If you're there, please "like" the page to see lots more of these masterpieces and share the pix with your friends. We need to spread the word and gain some social media traction to be able to expand our efforts to restore and preserve these art works.
