Have you been experiencing a drought out your way? We got tremendous rain spring thru first half of summer - then kept missing out. I'm surprised that the neighbors' lawns look as bad as mine - like straw

My particular farm gets less rainfall than surrounding farms-or so my husband swears. And he's right. People a mile down the road have nice green pastures. We most likely probably got about 4 inches of rain this summer. Irma brought only an inch and a half of rain at our house. The FIL, however, received five inches from Irma. He lives in upper SC while I'm considered sort of the midlands.

It is dry here too, lots of trees already shedding masses of leaves. I wish it would rain once in a while so i could water less.

My huge sycamore tree has been dumping tons of leaves this early. I think the lack of heavy rain is the reason. The almost as big Maple next door hasn't dropped any. So I went out and left the hose on by the tree for about half an hour. Maybe that will make it happier.

My littlest one from today's gymnastics meet. 1st place on beam. 5th place all around, and her team took first in their division.
