Monsoon action. Waiting for NWS to confirm it, but My money's on microburst. There are hundreds of trees down for miles to the East of us, we had marble sized hail and gusting winds that ripped tiles off the roof and drove rain up and in under the ridge vents. Ripped to covers off both chicken coops and moved the trampoline about 6 feet across the yard.

The stupid thing? The pigs, tortoises, and dogs were out PLAYING in it!

Some photos of the aftermath near my house.

We had some very hot temps late last week. 113 during the day and still in the mid 90's at night. Yesterday the wind blew trees down, it rained less than 1/10 of an inch, but today isn't nearly as oppressive. Sprinkles off and on but not enough to get anything wet.

You only got the wind? We had 1.18" in the rain gauge in 25 minutes. I'm East Mesa (60/202 interchange area). We got hammered. Power poles down a mile West, most traffic lights were still out this morning too. Just a mess. Looks to be storms building up again over Roosevelt, we'll see if they make it in. I'd prefer they got clone enough to photograph after dark, but don't necessarily rain again today. I gotta get our roof fixed. :)

Oh geez, sorry about the roof. Hope the rain doesn't make it into your area!

We had horizontal rain with thunder and lightning. There was a lot of wind and dust beforehand of course. I'm in the West valley, near loop 101 and the 10.

Wow.:eek:Have fun there. And I'm sitting here quietly pickling cucumbers.

The truth here was also stupid weather, then the rain is the sun and I'm tired of driving goats back and forth.
The main thing that I like about goats is that in summer they have a free food. I can cut trees and bushes under power lines for free.
Here are a free bushes ))

There's so much overgrown that the power line is completely invisible. This is bad, because in winter the snow will lay all the bushes on the line. The best means for keeping in order the power lines are the goats that need to cut and bring the bushes to the shed ))
