Pasha..where have you been? Are you hinoeted down for the winter? :frow
)))
My computer is a notebook 2003 year since, and it was very sheap whey i bought it )) The system there are windows XP, browser don`t have a maintenance, and one day some sites begin to be closed for me ))
Now i write from another (not my) computer. I won't buy a new computer before I buy a few sheeps, two piglets, a heifer, a donkey or a horse, another turkey, ducklings, black chickens (totally black) and a couple of beehives with bees. Only then may I decide to spend money for a new computer ))) But it will be not very soon )))
The heifer are cheaper as the cow, and young sheeps are cheaper as adult sheeps. I will buy young animals ))

Pasha, Microsoft stopped providing updates for XP years ago, but since there are hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of terminals and kiosks running XP, they had to keep providing updates for those. There is a registry hack (if you know about editing the registry- if you don't, find someone who does- it's not something to play with if you're not used to it) that tells Microsoft that you are running a kiosk and not a laptop, and then your can get updates. (note, in this registry key, 'Pos" stands for "Point of Sale" which means something like a cash register or kiosk).

I used this for about 4 years before I finally had to move to a new Win10 machine, it worked beautifully for me.
You have to either find this key and change to value to match what I show, or if it isn't there, create the key:

Windows Registry Editor

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\PosReady]
"Installed"=dword:00000001
