No relation to our puppies. My son got him from the pound not long after we got Frank.

Hubs got up at 0330, the puppies decided I should get up too. They took over my spot in the bed and are going back to sleep!

I get under the covers and pull the sheet up so they roll over and push my way in. They are so rude!

We got 4 new pullets in August. Columbian Wyandottes, hatched in late April. With our short days and cold weather in the fall and winter, the first one didn't lay until Dec.26. Now they are all laying. The older girls all stopped laying last summer, after a traumatic few months - their rooster died, a couple had some bouts of bad health, and so on. Well, the 4 year old, Bessie, just resumed this week after a 6 month break- perhaps inspired by the young'uns.

Not sure if the little egg is the first one back for Bessie, or the first one for little Squeaky, the smallest and youngest of the pullets; but this was our first ever 5 egg day.
