Ha that is one cool video. I appreciate the info very much. I got the incubator today and now have all 5 eggs in there. The hen I figure will be laying another tomorrow.ewok..found this video. Tried to find another I saw a few years back. School class watching chicks hatch during the day. One would be close to hatching, they took the lid off to watch. Put the lid back on, waited for another that had been pipped, then zipped, then opened the lid again. All of those eggs in there hatched. They did! I justed watched a mom hen sitting while chicks hatched. She would sit up when one hatched and started scrambling around. Air had to be hitting those other pipped eggs. More hatched. I always wondered why folks swear it's a no no..to be careful not to lift the lid on the bator .. I always snatched a baby out once hatched. Found out later on here, that I'm not the only one that does this. Just wanted you to see that a staggered hatch would work..while you're taking chicks out. The thing you need to worry about is, you don't want the fist chicks too much older than the last ones you set. They would be too big, stepping on the new ones, unless you separate them for a couple of days until the newest ones are running around.
