View attachment 2826993there was a praying mantis on my bedroom window today.

Finally saw one of ours last night. It was startled. I tried to get it to climb onto my hand and it wasn’t interested…. The last several
Years here at this house they would all gingerly walk onto my hand. And I’d relocate them to a shrub or large plant… they would see the branch and always seemed to wait for me to stop moving & “dock in front of a good branch before disembarking.”

I gave this young one 6 or 7 gentle attempts but, alas it eventually after running into me a couple times- it flew off to a tall sunflower.

My yard man that came the past four years didn't show up this one. He used to come up thru Texas, I figure either he got covid, or they weren't letting them come in anymore.

The praying mantis I used to see would come out and stay on the side of the house(Brick) change color and die. I tried moving them to healthy plants didn't help. I guess they have a short life cycle.

This is the one pullet of the silkie looking full silkie. The rest have frizzle gene thrown in. That is the second one.
