in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

Quite possible. But I just remember when, as a child, I worked a little with a shovel, I almost immediately got calluses, and if I got carried away, they could even be with blood. But then, over the years, I noticed that they stopped appearing at all, even if I work with a shovel with a rough handle made from a hastily cut birch tree or a branch from an oak nearby.
Although now, I confess, I work little, it seems that I have learned to dig faster, so I spend less time in the garden. I am more tired of milking, after which my hands sometimes begin to go numb. At one time we had ideas to buy an electric milking machine, but a cheap machine can injure the udder, and an expensive machine costs more than my entire herd, in addition, after work it will need to be washed every time, I thought that I would be lazy and I still don’t began to acquire any milking machine.
At one time there was a hope that I would get used to it and just stop getting tired, but over the years there are more and more goats, so, probably, my hands will go numb for a long time
Well, at least I can boil and drink cocoa with milk as much as I want, I always dreamed about it. :)
The VA dr. Has diagnosed that I have very early stage arthritis and carpal tunnel in both wrists & hands. So I’m doing what I can to not excite them of cause them to grow any faster.

Then it is better to take care of yourself and follow the doctor's instructions. I'm not a doctor and I can't say anything smart about this topic. The last time I went to the doctors was about 8 years ago when I worked at McDonald's, and here food workers are required to undergo a medical examination every year so as not to have any contagious diseases. But I didn’t go into details, I was given some kind of vaccinations, but I didn’t even think to ask what and from what diseases. And now I've been unemployed for many years, and I'm too lazy to go to the doctors, it all came down to the fact that if nothing hurts, then I'm too lazy to go to the doctor.
This year, McDonald's seems to have closed here, and I definitely won't go there to earn extra money (because it doesn't exist). To be honest, I haven’t even (still!) been vaccinated against covid, but not because I’m some kind of anti-vaccination activist, but because I’m very lazy, I live in the forest, I see animals more often than people. It's been almost two years, and I still can't get to the vaccination point. Everything is complicated by the fact that the Russian vaccine (sort of) requires two injections, so it turns out that I’m too lazy to go there once, and I’m twice as lazy to go there twice.
Therefore, reading my advice regarding medical things and health is not the best idea, since I undertake to talk about things that I do not understand at all. The only arthritis remedy I know of is made from herbs that grow like weeds in the garden, dandelions in particular. So I'd probably better refrain from giving any advice. :idunno

Collect the dandelion roots!
Clean them good.
About 3 years ago now a pound of fresh dandelion roots went for $28.
It is a pleasant hot tea… slice it up in tiny chunks, add a wee bit o’honey.

Although i’l honestly say, I prefer the anti-inflammatory benefits of ginger, turmeric, fresh lemon juice (and pulp) & honey in super hot water works great for me. Has for many years.
