I definitely wouldn't have the patience to climb like that. :he I would hang a primitive metal lamp above the balcony so that there is no need to carry a ladder. Here, such lamps are sold for 154-302 rubles ($2-4).

On the other hand, in the places where I live, such roofs are very rare - the fact is that in winter there can be a lot of snow, or even freezing rain, and such roofs would simply break in this climate.
