Birds called "turtle dove" live as a couple until death, that is, they are monogamous because the bond of their union is such that when one of them leaves, his partner is plunged into a very intense emotional loss, which sometimes leads to deep sadness and to let himself die without further ado.
This sad image was captured by James Yule and represents the mourning and intense pain that these birds live for the loss of their vital company.

We have a lot of these doves in our area now. I've watched the couples for years. They're so cute together. It was sad last year when I noticed that one was missing from the couple I was watching last year. The one hung around for a while, then I didn't see it after a while. Then a couple months later, a new couple showed up. I liked thinking that the dove found another partner.

I currently have the Twin :frow ... Yes but a feral as well. :hugs

The rails are rusty, judging by their appearance, they have not been used for a long time. Probably, this is some old, siding, where no one goes for a long time.
Look again,,, The sides of all rails will have rust on them.. The tops are shiny,, indicating rail wheels going over constantly.
