Housing prices are crazy. My roommate bought the house we live in in the 1980s. It cost $50K. Zillow says it's worth $260K but that's a little difficult to believe as this is a high crime area now.

OTOH, there's a 2bd/1ba down the street that's a renovated meth house and it sold for $230K last year. I'm pretty sure it's a rental now. I wonder if they told the new tenants it was a meth house?

You may want mention it to them ... especially if they have children or pets.

I spent some time thinking about that. We watched them renovate it, they stripped it down to the studs. I don't know if that is sufficient for remediation or not.

I've never seen kids or pets there unless they have indoor pets. I think it's being rented by students. One of them has a nice car and I'm always surprised they park it here, this is a bad neighborhood. I'm also not sure if I could get into some kind of legal trouble for telling them. People are so litigious these days.
