first i would like to know whats inbreeding and crossbreeding???
my opinion
inbreeding- breeding to types of the same bird type together. EX. breeding blue checkered roller with baldhead roller.AM I CORRECT???
crossbreeding-breeding to types of pigeons without the same genetics.EX. breeding homer with roller.AM I CORRECT HERE TO???

inbreeding is breeding of immediate family members

brother to sister

son to mum

father to daughter

not recommended unless you know what your doing for certain strains which is then line breeding

cross breeding is breeding 2 different breeds to make a hybrid for what ever reason it may be

most reasons involve better egg yields and sex linkage

oh ok thanks its because my teacher gave me a pair of rollers and both roll very good but they are both different kind of rollers.my question was can i breed those 2 rollers and still get good rollers and not hybrids since they are to types of rollers??? here are the pics of the bird.
the top one is the mother, and the bottom one is the father. plz tell me what kind are they to plz!!! oh and btw; they had a baby together and was born with feathered feet

i had limerick tumblers (irish breed crossed between a west of england and some other breed ) the breed was made in limerick in ireland so wouldnt say much people know of the breed outside of ireland so i had a limerick tumbler and a other breed of tumbler (dont know what breed ) but anyway they bred and had eggs they baby turned out to be normal tumblers good flying and all so i would say it would be okay to do it with a roller

they look like rollers the hen is a blue check baldhead marked cock is a blue white flight if you breed a roller to a non roller you problable you will lose the rolling another way to look at it all pigeon breeds are inbred to get the desired results if you let them breed like they would naturely they would become a pigon that you see on the streets

You have two both good looking Birmingham rollers there. i have some show and performance winners that have feathered legging like yours, that the young show more foot feathering. also close genetics will produce more head crests, and pearl eyes/split eyes/bull eyes, and reduce size ect.. inbreeding in tumbler/high fliers (which all rollers are), is often done to increase roll.
