Inbreeding Risks? Button Quails..

I know people line breed, and breed distant related birds but What are the risks of breeding a father and a daughter? Especially since im not sure of the history of the mother & father and if they were already brother & sister...(they came from a pet store with no background info)
The last thing i want to do is hatch out weak or deformed chicks, that would be horrible..

Is it better to be safe than sorry, or should i just go by trial and error?

In breeding in birds is quite common place as well as necessary in some cases--- for selective breeding to develope or keep specific trais such as size, color, or other traits it is common place to cross father/ daughter or mother/ son to "confirm" these traits or "set them genetically within the line.
