Breeding brother and sister together is fine. Just don't breed their offspring with each other etc etc.

I have bred mother/son and father/daughter and Brother/sister. However from these chicks I DO NOT breed the chicks together. I have selected roosters I keep and cull all other roos hatched. (Not kill but rehome) So I only keep girls who I breed back to a different line of roo. I keep tags on whos who and have never had a problem. I started with low grade silkies and as time has went on that I began breeding silkies I have improved my line by (LINE BREEDING) Once I added Quality lines to OUT BREED the LINE BREDs...If that makes any sence...LOL.
