Including your new babies - how many chickens do you have?

I currently have 15 hens that are about to turn 1 year old. I am adding 25 more chicks (hopefully all pullets) in the next two weeks. Details on breeds is in my signature line. The list of the 25 new ones changes from day to day. I am getting them all locally and only am committed to 13 specific one so far. I have not added the two I paid for today to my signature line. I found someone local with Blue Maran pullets!

We started with four a year ago and now have 8 hens, 1 Roo, 12 Chicks under 3 of the hens. Would like to find a home for the Roo!

My new babies are still in their little eggs, underneath Momma, our buff orpington broody.

But at the moment, we have eight hens, one rooster, and two babies from Momma's last clutch -- we think that one is a pullet and one is a cockerel, but they are only 13 weeks old and we are still not sure about that yet.

So I guess that is a total of 11 chickens alive today, with as many as five more coming in the next 10 days or so.

I have 28 hens, 2 roosters and 2 babies.

Very shortly, we may be down a roo...our big roo is constantly stocking DH and efter months and months of trying various methods of rooster reform, he is just learning how to get around it. He runs from me 99% of the time, but hates DH for some reason.

He is 12 or 13 lbs and not fully filled out yet...he's slowly being considered a liability for us (I don't even want to take the chance if him attacking a child). He also tears up the hens pretty well because of his size (and clumsiness).

If we get rid of him, and once the girls refeather (the other roo is more well-behaved), we may sell a few hens.

If we do get rid of the big roo and a few hens, I am thinking that I may hit up Debi (DebiRaymond) for some of her BW Ameraucana hatching eggs to put under my next broody.

I would love to have a BW Ameraucana rooster someday...we shall see.

Currently thirty-three. One rooster (planning on a second), three teenager chicks, and everyone else is grown hens. Getting eggs shortly to hatch out, though, so we'll see what happens with those!

24 in the Layer coop, 15 in the Oddball coop, 15 in the S'cochin coop, 2 Columbian Cochins, 4 Seramas, 2 Mixed Blues and 97 chicks/juvies (in 9 different brooders in my living room)..... guess that equals 159!!!

And TSC gets chicks tomorrow!!

The first 62 in the coops are definitely staying, but I won't be keeping even half of the chicks I currently have. I will pick out my favorites, a few for each coop, and sell the rest. I just have to grow them out a bit first. I hatch out some from my own birds to sell at auction or on CL to help with the chicken food bill.

If we were supposed to count the eggs in the bator, I have 83 eggs in my two lol.

I have 3 chicks and no more!! Just got them, 2 rhode island reds and 1 barred rock. They are chilling in their bathtub brooder, locked in the basement so the dogs don't get them like they did the last bunch.
