Incorporating solo chicken after death in the flock

Ok, so I've had this one chicken I "adopted" in my quarantine area for months because my flock of three just aren't very nice. I only let them all be together when I'm there to supervise. Yesterday I had one of my chickens in my flock die. I'm not sure of what because she showed no signs of illness and the other two are totally fine. My question is, is this a good time to incorporate the solo chicken into the flock? Part of me thinks since the pecking order is going to have to be re-established why not? Thoughts?

Your instincts are good. It's what I would do. But be prepared for a bit of conflict anyway. It shouldn't last long.
