Increased Appetite

Hello! I'm sure that this issue has been addressed already, but there are too many topics to look at all of them.

I have a beautiful mixed flock of 4 to 5 month old pullets and one Roo. In the past week or two, they have increased their food intake by at least double, probably more. Is this a sign that I will be getting some eggs soon?

Probably, a hen would need to take in more nutrients to lay eggs, and most start laying at around five months, so congrats!

That would be awesome! I hope they ALL start laying at once!

Is your avatar one of the pullets your talking about? If so then she looks like she'll lay any day now!

I have two hens that are a year old and she is one of those. I took that picture last year. She has actually stopped laying since it got so hot here. Hoping that the younger girls will motivate her.
