I have two hens that I bought hoping that they would lay some eggs. That was 4 weeks ago! Anyway, I have noticed that they are more aggressive this past week and was wondering if that was any indication that they may be getting closer to laying. They still have pink combs and aren't squatting or anything, but was just wondering if their aggression may in any way be related to impending laying. Thanks!

My oldest hens are due to start laying any day now and for the past week they have been attacking my dogs.
If any of the dogs enter the yard they charge at them and peck their heads.
It started so suddenly and now since you mentioned this I wonder if its related to them nearing lay time.
