This question has probably been asked a million times before, but im hoping you wont mind me asking it again as I am a relative newby to chicken keeping! !! I have 4 girls living in a small coop (about 1m x 1m), but ive decided to get a few more. I am getting 5 girls from a friend who is moving and doesnt have room for them. I am also getting the shed that they currently live in. My question is do I keep them in their existing houses or should they all go in together?

Depends on their ages. If they are all over 4 months, then put them all together. If one set are still chicks, then keep them separated.

They will hang together in there original flock for sometime, but eventually will make one flock. Adding several hens is the best way to add to your flock. Once you get the shed set up, you can add them at night.
