I got these from James Marie Farms, I've wanted some of his line for a long time.

I don't have broody pens. I work crazy hours... wake at 3am for work. Broodies are wearing me down. I don't have time to put them in individual cages with food and water to try to break them... it's a fulltime job.

Another incubator that has been perfect on temps and humidity is having an abysmal hatch. I contacted the supplier and he told me he had one report of 100% hatch and another of 0 out of 250. He also offered to resend the order if I payed the shipping. I declined on a free order. I will PAY for another order in a week or so. Sometimes you just have BAD luck. I won't let it stop me.

I am really upset with these shipped silkie eggs. They have the worst saddles I have ever seen... dipping low. I was sent extras since she took longer to get them out (suspected this could be a problem). But out of 16 eggs, at 10 days... I have 7 left. 1 was a blood ring, the rest clear. The remainders have horrible saddles.

I don't care for priority shipping. I think the extra day or two does less harm than getting it here faster.

Jrnash: congrats on the cotournix hatch sorry about the potential Bob loss. Better too cold than too hot. So may still be a chance.

My pheasant hatch has been horrible. Hatched 3 over weekend. Had to cull 2 due to messed up legs. Have 1 that hatched last night 3 more pipped. That's out of 300 eggs that were shipped.

My Turkey's I hatched 22 out of 27 so far yesterday and last night.

My cots out of my eggs. Had 118 set. Had 4 out last night when I got home from work. Got woken up by incessant peeping at 3 am. I would say there were over 100 that hatched.

Scooped up the hatched ones and moved to the brooders. 4 more were out in the last hour. Will have the final total when get home from work tonight and count unhatched eggs.

It can be overwhelming at times trying to juggle work and the birds. I work construction,normally 7-12s 365days a yr. Most of it on the road. I took off this month trying to catch up on things here at home.I'd like to take off till September ,Lord knows I've got plenty to do.

I'm building new pens,new brooders and adding more breeds.

Once the new pens are completed I'm going to have the testing done for NPIP.

Left out building a Cabinet incubator.
