Let me know, if you find a breeder selling them?! I can't seem to locate any Cochin eggs .

Wow!! That is so amazing! I want to get some of trader joe's eggs and hatch them. Does anyone know what breed they could be?

You could check the Hatch-A-Long thread where they hatched these. I am thinking they were RIR or Production Reds.

I purchased blue Cochin eggs a couple years ago, 4 were fertile. It was confirmed by the breeder after that the fertility dropped off after. I hatched 2 cockerels /2 pullets. I kept a pair and gave a pair to a friend. My female was one of the ones killed while being watched that Summer. Those were the most beautiful birds!

What breed did he turn out to be? I love the mystery idea... I would love to do a pure breed mystery hatch... lots of different breeds set. It would be like Christmas when they hatch! Every egg a surprise.
