incubating and hatching eggs

my husbad and I made our own incybator and we are having trouble getting our eggs to hatch we put four eggs in the incubator, one hatched and the others died in the shell this has happened three times what is our problem

Hello all. Question I have is. I am attempting my second hatch using my incubator. The issue now is my humidity is running from 19 to 25%.
Is this a good level or not? I hatched 7 out of 11 my last hatch but no idea on humidity of that hatch.

I would say humidity needs to be double that. About 55-60% during first 16 day then increase to about 60-65% a few days before hatch.

I hope I never have to use an incubator! So complicated!

Couple of questions. I am on day 18 and just put on lockdown. I checked and I can see a clear air cell in all but 1 of 8 eggs. All my eggs are brown, blue, green or pink and hard to see into by candling. ( other than noting there is something dark in the egg).
When should I start seeing movement or hearing peeping from the eggs?
