I have about 42 bob white eggs in the incubator. Yesterday was day 18. I candled them to start taking turner out and getting temp and humidity right for lockdown as I work on day 20 so time is limited on that day. Anyway when candling all but about 7 of the eggs are completely black where you can’t see anything at all. I tried rotating some you may get the slightest glimpse of light at the very point but it isn’t much if any. The 7 are about half to 3/4 black and the rest opaque where light passes through. There is movement noted in most of those.
I am worried the ones that are completely filled don’t have an air cell. Should I be worried? This is the first time hatching any type of quail egg.
