Is there a reason you don't want pea combs? It's 20 deg F today where I am. I expect at some point it will go below zero. For that reason I prefer pea combs.

I know a lady who has dominant white ameraucanas and we have talked about making zombie EEs a with my ayam cemani roo and her white Ameraucana pullets.

Not yet, the dominant white ameraucanas were actually recessive white, so its harder to make zombies with them.

Does anyone know what size eggs zombie chickens lay? I'm talking the Ayam/White Leghorn hybrids. I've tried looking it up, but I've seen answers ranging from medium to jumbo, depending on the site. Nothing definitive.

This thread is to keep track of my progress with creating my zombies. In case you don't know, they are chickens that have white feathers and black skin. Zombies are typically made by crossing an ayam cemani with a white leghorn. I am trying to make pure color zombies (two copies of dominant white and two copies of the black skin gene.) I have three eggs in my incubator that could be possible zombies.
This is the rooster I am working with to make the zombies:

And these are the two hens. They are leghorn mixes, so only about 50% of the chicks hatched from them will have incomplete white feathers. (Dont pay any attention to the rooster in the middle)

The two hens have peacombs. Pea combs are okay for my zombies, I guess, but I will prefer to keep single combed birds for my main line. I will set a few more eggs, and breed the resulting pullets (That have black skin, white feathers, and preferably single combs) back to their dad. In the first f1 cross I am doing, only females will have black skin. The males won't. So like I said, I will breed the pullets with the most desirable traits and breed them back to their dad, so I can get zombie cockerels. I will then breed the most desirable cockerels to the f1 and f2 pullets/hens, and then I could potentially get pure color zombies. The best ways to tell will be for pure white feathers (no black spots) and darkest skin. This will take a while to accomplish, but I am dedicated. @MysteryChicken @NatJ

You said you were dedicated, but almost 2 years later now, i was expecting some f1, f2, backcross, applesauce, etc. So what happened? Im about to venture on this journey. Have cemanis and 4 white birds all grown now about to breed in a few weeks. Are you on social media instead?
