A friend of mine is working on quite a combination here. Her ultimate goal is Olive Egger, Naked Neck, Zombies. Her current pairing are white Amerucana crossed with white Naked Necks (dominant?) hens under a cemani rooster. The offspring is coming out with rather pale gray feet and beaks. Is this a derma-linked trait or an F1 trait? To get to her ultimate goal, if she keeps the offspring and breeds back to a cemani, the skin coloration should be darker the next go round, correct? Also, in the few she has hatched thus far, none are naked neck. Would the NN gene be diminished on the F2 stock or is this just now a recessive gene?
