I have 5 beloved pet call ducks. Two girls and three boys. My girls started laying and my boy ducks have been keepin the eggs firtle so I decided to use an incubator my friend had in storage, it is a bower 845 incubator. I have 17 eggs that I have collected the oldest is 9 days old. I have set them in a cool room pointy end down in an egg carton. Does anyone know how to incubate call ducks? Are they the same as chickens? How many times do I need to turn them? Humidity?

They are the same as ducks and different than chickens

its 99.5 degrees at 50% humidity for 26 days and turned 4 times a day. But the last 4 days is lockdown where you turn the himidity to 75% and stop turning

Alot of people have there own recomendations that work for them, thats what works for me

You should do some research and run the incubator for a day or two empty to get a feel for it

and best of luck with your hatch, ask all the questions you can

While it's unlikely, what are your plans of all 17 of them hatch? Because that's a lot of new ducks.

The incubator is still air, I am planning to keep the eggs on their sides in the incubator. Thanks you so much for the replies. I am running the incubator at 99.5 degrees letting it heat up.
Still air incubators should be run between 100.5°F to 101.5°F measured at the top of the egg. When hand turning eggs, it is recommended that the eggs be turned an odd number of times daily so that the eggs alternate which side is down through the night.

I sure never turn that way. I just turn them :idunno

Studies indicate that the more frequently that eggs are turned especially during the early days of incubation, the better it is for the hatchlings. At least one poster has posted that she never turns her eggs. Personally I am lazy so I use an auto turner which turns my eggs every 3 hours.

Hatching Eggs 101 by @Sally Sunshine is an excellent source of information.
