Hi, I have a Nurture Right 360 incubator. There are 6 call duck eggs in it. I candeled them last night and all but one show developement. The eggs lay on their side. My concern is that you can see the tiny little duck and blood vessels on one side but the other side is all air cell! Is this normal? Is it a matter of humidity? I mean the air cell takes up 1/2 of the egg. Am I doing something wrong? I try to keep the humidity around 50% and I mist the eggs everyday. Sometimes the humidity jumps up to 72% but after a while it goes back down. It has dropped very low at times if I don't check on time, but normally its around 50 to 54%. I should also mention that these are fresh eggs from my call duck pair and they have been incubating about 7 days. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Here is one of the eggs.

The egg is alive and looks normal. The first picture shows the air cell at the top. The space you are seeing in the second picture will fill in as the duckling grows; the space is not the air cell.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. It has not been the best of days for me. Good luck with the upcoming hatch. All looks good, so don't worry.

Oh thank you so much. I hope your evening gets better. You just made my day!
