Incubating chicken eggs

Hi so this is around my fifth time incubating eggs and I've always had a good hatch. I have one of those little giant incubators. So the hatch before this one I was incubating a bunch of eggs and they just weren't hatching and I had candled them and they were all fertile. So I left them for about 5-6 days past the hatch date and finally decided to throw one out just to see. So some of them had nothing inside but others had fully grown chicks in them but they were dead! Does anyone know what might cause this? I'm scared now because I'm incubating another batch and it's been one day past the hatch date and there are no pips in any of the eggs. Any advice would help! Thanks!!

What are your exact temps and humidity levels?

my temp is at 99.5 degrees while my humidity is around 73%. I might've jumped the gun a bit because i have 2 eggs that have pipped now and one that has zipped. also on another note, one of my eggs had pipped right on the underside of the egg so i googled and it all said to turn the pip to the top so that's what i did about 6-7 hours ago and since then there has been little activity in that egg. was that a bad decision???

Is that 73% through the whole incubation or just for lockdown? Is your Little Giant still air or forced air?

Is your incubator still air? If so, I think 99.5 is a bit low. Hatches will take longer. How long has your humidity been at 73%?

its been 74% just for the lockdown and its air forced

Is the pip internal or external? If external, is the chick chirping any? I probably would've left the egg alone to zip. Try to keep the lid shut to keep the humidity in. For now.

well i looked again now at the one i turned and he seems to be moving now. before i flipped him he only had part of the shell broken and not the membrane but now the membrane is also broken. I'll have to check again in the morning and update you. i haven't herd him chirp for a while but he was still chirping after i moved him.

Flipping him won't have hurt anything
