Okay so I have decided I am going to try a experiment one of my pairs of cockatirls is laying eggs had a few times where they just lay and lay but never nest I am wondering if I can artificially oncubate a couple of eggs then foster the babies out to a foster hen which I have once they hatch may not work but it just might work :) gona try I'll update in 7 days

Sry for some reason the thread didn't update me on posts also just realized I misspelled cockatiel :p first eggs I tried were from a young pair and none were fertile but I will try again believe it or not cockatiels incubate basicly the same as chicken eggs 99 to 100 degrees you turn a min of 5 times a day and hatch in 18 to 21 day! I'm waiting for one of my more established pairs to start laying so I can pull their eggs and try a couple I promise I will keep it updated bow that I've figured out how to subscribe to my own thread :)

One problem here; cockatiels are hatched with no feathers and the parents feed them until they are feathered out and fly on their own. You will have to hand feed the babies till they can feed themselves.

No problem there I hand fed Tiels and also I will be putting most back under Tiels to replace infertile and quiters plus I have foster pair that gladly raise babies if need be
