incubating duck eggs

Quick question for you guys. Do u have to lay duck eggs on their side when incubating?

I found a bunch of these lil rubber washers at work.

I glued them on the end of a cheap flashlight. It holds the eggs perfect to candle them.

Im gonna tinker around with them to make and auto egg turner tray if the eggs dont have to lay sideways.

some breeds do better on their sides than others.
