Some of the eggs I tried were shipped, some were my own....I did not have as good a results with the shipped, but they were shipped...I got two out of six, not that bad, really?
I only put two of my own call duck eggs in and they both hatched....so I hatched four call ducks, but I had timed them to take 28 days and was surprised when they pipped early, found out AFTER they started pipping in the turner with the chicken eggs that they take less time than regular ducks. They were'nt dizzy or anything! I just had to be very careful and take em out wet, you know, break all the rules?? (Stay on the turned til hatch day, humidity didnt increase the last 3 days, took em out of the incubator as soon as they hatched to keep em from breaking their legs on the turners or disturbing the chicken eggs)
Nah....except for timing, I dont think duck eggs are any harder. I fact, I think they must be pretty hardy after what I did to them?
