I have 14, 3 year old RIR hens and 1 mixed breed rooster. The hens lay very large eggs. Is is a good idea to try to incubate these eggs? Thanks. Rissa

Sure! I have seen that sometimes, the hens that start slowing down in production are much better egg makers, because they spend more time creating the egg. JMO. Lol. Go for it. It can't hurt to try...

You will probably get bigger chicks. I don't like to try to hatch small pullet eggs since the chicks will be smaller. Good luck with your hatch. Deb
