I have some duck eggs in the bator, just put them in today. While I was putting them in, I notices that one of them had a cracked dent in it. None of the shell is missing. There is no leaking from breakage. I put nail polish on it, and then candle wax on top of the dried polish. Will it still grow ? And did I do the right repair? The polish & wax isn't where the baby will pip, so shouldn't have any trouble with that.

If the membrane from the inside is not damaged only the external shell it will grow.... I tried it with pogeon eggs amd chicken eggs and they all grew and hatched on their own.... but I used a fast drying super glue... it becomes harder that that nail polish even harder than the shell itself... so yeah try incubating and candle after at least five days so you can see obvious development... if not compared to the others... throw it away.... good luck and keep us updated

The funny thing is when I saw the pic before reading I thought it was a live unfeathered birdy..... or a fleshy bird... I was shocked.... I thought it was still in the egg and trying to hatch.... lol
