Incubating French Black Copper Marans

I think the humidity level is the key...just don't know what's best for marans. Too little with dry or too much with drowning. Ugh...frustrating.

Yes, I agree, and with the bator Im using, there is no fine tuning. Id love to have the money to step up to one of the automated ones where you can set the humidity. Im really hoping this hatch works out.... we'll see

Was hoping next week but I may have to wait. I'm waiting for a different lady to have some come available.

My friend has buff Orpington eggs I'm picking up Sunday and was hoping to get the Maran eggs Monday to start together.

I was hoping for somewhere in the mid to upper 20s for the first 18...   then 70ish for the lockdown

Interesting the dry method puts humidity for first 18 days at 25-45% and then 55-65% for lockdown. Or around there...you may be fine. :-)
