You should totally try this when your quail are laying again.Aw. Reid Grace. That is your new name on BYC. I decided. Because you're cool too!
Esp because you're an Orp. Which my phone keeps changing it Pro. Which you also are!
Aren't YOU a guy?????
Ooh! Me! Me! Me!
Do you have any Celadons?
Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! I'll do it for the good of BYC and Science!
Were they fertile though? Sorry it didn't work.
Do it!!!I only have three.![]()
I do still have some quail eggs in the fridge still....... I wonder if by some miracle one would still be fertile from when it was laid in September. You should totally try this when your quail are laying again.
I have set my own eggs...that I pulled from my refrigerator and hatched them.I do still have some quail eggs in the fridge still....... I wonder if by some miracle one would still be fertile from when it was laid in September.
But when they're laying again I will! I'm not sure I'll be able to stay still enough. Would it be cheating to put it in an incubator at night so I don't ruin my nice white flowery comforter with smooshed quail egg?
No blue layers here.Aw. Reid Grace. That is your new name on BYC. I decided. Because you're cool too!

I’ve taken eggs from cold winter nests and they are currently in the incubator on day 16 healthy and fertile. I don’t see why you couldn’t take unwashed refrigerator eggs as long as they haven’t been there for too longI have set my own eggs...that I pulled from my refrigerator and hatched them.
Yes...it would be cheating. You can't say you boob incubated if you didn't boob bate the whole time.
I hatched a few eggs that were in the fridge for a week, but that was about the longest I've let them stay in there for.I have set my own eggs...that I pulled from my refrigerator and hatched them.

Are your quail laying still?
Cool!
Would since early September be considered too long?
Seriously though, would the blastoderm be gone by now or is it still present despite them being in so long?
