It seems like all small, fluffy dogs are “girls” and all big, muscled, fast/strong dogs are “boys”.
I’m getting a big, strong, short-haired girl dog when I’m an adult.

For real! Oh she’s huge and she’s black so she must be a boy! I swear all black dogs are boys LOL

Thanks everyone! She’s a girl but everyone always thinks she’s a boy she’s technically my brother and SIL’s dog but I was watching her last night and this morning hahah her name is Libby.

Haha, sorry my dog is a boy and so I end up calling all dogs good boys.

I love hunting dogs. They’re slender, lean machines that are super alert.

Yessss and most are so friendly, sweet, and trainable too!! The hunting/sporting/gun dog breeds and herding breeds are my two favorite breed groups lol

My friend has a female Black Lab named Arrow. Everyone’s like “aw, good boy. What’s his name?” “Her name is Arrow“ Aw, Arrow, good boy“ She’s a girl” Oh, whoops.”

yesssss!! Whenever I walk her for them, I usually just say thank you and don’t correct them LOL just keep walking or I’ll say her name and then theyre like oh shes a girl

I tried both. I’ve been told I’m “curvy” lol. I’m just always cold!

Oh wow I think some of that is just habit though cause like “good boy” or whatever is such a common phrase, people just default to it not necessarily cause theyre still confused hahah
