So today is the first day that my quail baby could hatch! I can hear moving in the egg, but she might be a late bloomer because of the slightly lower temperature. I’m so excited! I just hope she doesn’t hatch while I’m in one of my classes...

Thanks for the well wishes! Still no pip but I think I can hear her moving around. I know I shouldn’t candle and I won’t see anything anyways, but I’m so worried about her.
ALSO: tonight I’ll be picking up 27 quail eggs and distributing them to volunteers across UVM campus to bracubate! That’s right, we’re making this shit scientific and the sample size has gotta be decent!

Day 19.5 and I can hear little scratching noises from inside the quail egg but no internal pip. Normally I wouldn't be so overbearing about a hatch but this one is personal! Any idea how long I should wait? My incubator babies hatched day 17 and 18, but because of lower temperature I was thinking day 21 I check? Opinions on float test (assuming no external pip)? I hope everything is alright!
