Incubating Lavender Ameraucanas Dry Hatch or No?

Just had this Coopers Hawk swoop down and almost get my teenys if it weren’t for Eloise my LA who warned everyone well before I saw it! They all hid under my chair before I knew what was going on. It literally landed on the chair next to me and I had to shoo it off and even then would not leave. I had to pack all my babies up and take them in☹ Now I am afraid to even bring them out for a brief free range right next to me. Boo. The hawk was still a beauty though I will just have to be a predator proof Queen I suppose

Thank you, @LavinmyBasket, you are sweet! The storm skirted over the top of our island and brought a little more rain than usual, no problem! We have hurricane season from June to November and we are usually spared in our town as we are quite protected by the might Mauna Kea, a dormant volcanic mountain that towers at over 13,000 feet

Just for fun and no lavender ameraucanas in this post, but Frankie, if you recall my grocery store hatched egg chick is doing great, 4 weeks old and looking like a female so far, fingers crossed! Photo attached of Frankie with Rosie, a little blue laced red Wyandotte chick enjoying the sunshine and Frankie with our “bobblehead twins“, white capped black polish, free ranging in the kitchen!

We were watching for it, but it wasn’t on the weather channel. You must have awesome views! Glad all is well!
