Incubating Mallard Ducks

Ok. So this isnt my rodeo with hatching ducks. But this time instead of using a dimmer switch *bad idea* i am using a water heater thermostat. That is what my question is on. I have it set so that it turns on at 98 degrees and it cuts off at 101.0 degrees is this ok ?

is it fan assisted or a still air? Still air is ok but fan should be 99.5-100

It is a forced air incubator.

Maybe you get can it to cut off at 100 but if should be ok if it doesn't go above 101
