Incubating Pea Eggs

I hatched out 4 peachicks last year. I incubated them the same as chicken eggs. I currently have 2 pea eggs in the 'bator, and they are in there with chicken, guinea, and turkey eggs. What kind of incubator are you using? I'm incubating my eggs in Sportsmans, and then a 1588 Genesis Hova-Bator.

I have guinea eggs in there now but they are scheduled to hatch on Saturday. I wanted to put in a few pea eggs because the girls have been laying for about a week now. I have never hatched any pea eggs before and I wanted to try it out. This is the girl's first year laying eggs and I'm not even sure if the eggs are fertile. I already have about 8 pea eggs under a few broody hens but I wanted to put a few in the incubator.

They are harder to hatch than both chicken and guinea eggs, but Brinsea makes good incubators. I have one very important tip if you do incubate: Humidity is important through out incubation but if it is not high when they hatch they will often get stuck in the egg and die or have leg and foot problems because the ligaments and tendons harden in the wrong shape.

What humidity level should it remain at? I need to get a hyrdometer. Thank you for the tip.

This is why I am trying to learn all I can about the pea eggs before I get started. I don't want to mess up and kill the little ones.

I have 3 eggs in my Brinsea Eco 20 right now. I am keeping the humidity at 40%. I am incubating them on their sides and hand turning
1-3 times a day in addition to my autoturner.

Should I place them on their side when I put them in the incubator? Or can I place them in the same upright position as any other egg with the pointed side down?
