Help....I’ve just started incubating pheasant’s eggs for 16 days now. Candling the eggs so I can see inside the eggs, I notice half is dark and the other light. Are the eggs okay???? I have the eggs on the Egg Turner, should I continue to use it or manually turn it by hand???? How can I tell if the eggs are good when candling the eggs under a flash light?

I don’t have humidity thermostats in the incubating; I just have a regular thermostat and it is 99 degree. From my description I gave, half egg dark and the other light, is the egg still okay?

It could be OK, you need to get a hygrometer. Go to walmart or Radio Shack. Keep the humidity from now until day 18 at 40%. Hopefully you'll see a smaller air sac when you candle just before lockdown.

I normally keep the humidity right around 35% days 1-18 and then bump it up to 65% at lockdown.

Gamebirds probably need a higher humidity.
