Ladyhawk, I wonder if you have a June daughter and I have a son. Baby looks like daddy, so probably female. Mine look like mama, so probably male (I was thinking cockerel anyway). Maybe that doesn't work in this situation, though.
Everyone is good this morning...still no pips or etc. I will check everyone after I return from Chy's sax lesson. It is so blasted hot, I am taking the three babies with me, they are in their travel cage with food and water. So, there first road trip at a day old.
Hmmm...I wonder if Orps are into covert hatchings? Might it be they've just been biding their time until Cetawin has to step away from the incubator before they decide to make their entrance? I wouldn't put it past the little goobers! More than half of my first hatch snuck out of their eggs while I was sleeping. **In my best Gollum voice** Sneaky! Sneaky! Sneaky little Hobbitses!!!
If you haven't seen any pips by noon, I'd check a couple eggs at random, maybe put a teensy pip in the aircell and see if you hear peeping. Could be a couple are just too large for the egg they're in, considering Smoky's egg shape.
