Incubating precious eggs...Hatching!

I would avoid Tuna for the reasons stated...they have higher mercury content. Plus Kathy...you can hand feed her the Salmon and only give the babies a bit in their scrambled eggs.

The reason most do not give it as often as I was telling you...it can give the eggs a "taste" difference...but she is not laying so who cares? LOL

All of my babies are wonderful this morning...they are little piggies. Eating and drinking off and on all night.

My girl has at least 5 chicks, and I see one egg with a pip. One other egg I don't see anything. She chowed down when I gave her scrambled eggs with blueberries and wheat germ oil.

She is perking up some. Her comb and waddles has been so pale. She is getting a little color back now.

Poor girl! Dedicated to her task, for sure. She deserves a medal! And maybe some canned apricots... or some oatmeal...

Three chicklets for Cetawin, and one a blue! Good! These are going to be the most spoiled chicks on the planet.

We were all going nuts, waiting for updates, holding our breath, drinking coffee. We're all rooting for these babies, and of course eager to get all the pictures you can post.

Yes, they are all Jersey Giants. Actually, I only put those eggs under her because a BYC member wanted some JGs. Now I would hate to take them from her. I did hatch a few last week, (forgot I had a few JG eggs in the incubator with the Lavenders) so the BYCer can pick from them.

Awwww!! Heart melting pictures there Kathy!

The babies all look wonderful. I'll certainly keep my fingers crossed for that one that hasn't budged yet. She just wants to be fashionably late I bet!

Cetawin, can't you take pictures from your cell phone and then upload those to the net, and then link them to here? I just wanna see the babies!!! Whaahaaahaaahaa!!! I wanna see the baaayybbbiiieeeess!!! Nooooooooowwww!!!

Serrin, I might be able to do that. Let me work on that.

They are doing great!

Kathy, those babies are so cute...and I have to agree with Cyn's thinking on the broody and the babies. Let her raise them until she decides it is time for them to leave. Cyn saw first hand the heartbreak of a broody when she sold her babies before mama was ready to let them go.

Check this out...this guy makes different styles and such...what do you think about it for bantams? Click the link in the ad and look at the other styles. I was thinking about an 8 sided style also...
